So that you can
get a bit of a picture of what regular activities we are involved with this autumn, here is the list
of our Sunday and weekday meetings:
Sundays

1st and 3rd Sundays of each month. The 3rd Sunday includes Communion.
Houlgate:
2nd Sunday of each month.

We
are also regularly involved in a variety of pastoral ministries, including visiting and contacting the sick
and bereaved, conducting funerals etc.
October Specials
Sunday, October
18th, 3pm at Condé-sur-Noireau: Traditional English Harvest Festival, hopefully including a decorated church.
Sunday, October
25th, 10.30am at Condé-sur-Noireau: Joint bilingual service with the congregation of the French Reformed Church. This is one
of a regular series planned over the coming months.
Christmas is Coming
Less than three months
to go, so planning for our annual Carol Service at Condé in December is under way. This service
is aimed at both French and English-speakers, particularly at those who would perhaps never go to church
at any other time.
CPCV - Houlgate
This is
the holiday / conference centre in Houlgate formerly known as the Maison Evangélique.
At a recent
board meeting of the association CPCV-Normandie that owns and runs the centre, Pastor
Thomas Fohner of Houlgate Evangelical Church was voted onto the board. This is a great step forward
in terms of local Christian input into the running of the centre. What this step will mean in terms
of being able to use the centre for activities and events such as conferences, we will have
to see over coming weeks.
News in Brief
Two more French
ladies have joined Simone's Ladies Bible Study... Our House Group is going to be studying the birth
of the church in Philippi and Paul's letter to the Philippians... Sundays at Condé continue to
look at Mark's Gospel... At Vire we are looking at Isaiah 40-46 "Your God is too small".
