Christian Missions

The Joshua Project

The Great Commission that the Lord Jesus gave to his disciples before he returned to heaven says:

Go and make disciples of all nations... teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you" (Matthew 28.19,20).

It is on that basis that the church has given the work of Mission a very high priority through the ages. However there are still many people who have not yet had an opportunity to hear the Gospel. The Joshua Project has been set up to help the church to have a better picture of which people have not yet been reached with the Gospel. Check out the Joshua Project web site to see all the information they have about all the countries of the world and the spread of the Gospel.

What is the Joshua Project?

To quote from the definition that they give on their web site:

Joshua Project is a research initiative seeking to highlight the ethnic people groups of the world with the least followers of Christ. The mission of Joshua Project is to help bring definition to the unfinished task of the Great Commission by identifying and highlighting the people groups of the world that have the least exposure to the Gospel and the least Christian presence in their midst. Joshua Project's heartbeat is “to spread a passion for the supremacy of GOD in all things for the joy of all peoples through Jesus Christ”...
