Normandy Vision UK Trust

A Christian Mission working in Normandy, France

A Christian Centre in Normandy

Project Overview

Normandy Vision are interested in finding suitable premises which they can convert into a Christian Conference Centre as part of their long-term vision for developing Christian ministry in the region of Normandy.

Aims

The aim for such a Centre would be to primarily focus on several key areas of Christian activity:

  • Biblical and Christian Education through such means as Seminars, Training Courses, Bible Studies and many other approaches as well;
  • Recreation with Young People and All Age groups - whether for single days, weekends, or longer periods;
  • Outreach, helping the people of Normandy to understand and respond to the Christian Faith through a wide range of appropriate approaches;
  • Promoting Relationships with Christians and churches in other parts of the world, particularly the United Kingdom, for the mutual benefit of all;
  • Co-operation with churches throughout Normandy, who would hold the same foundational principles as us, sharing resources and activities.

It is hoped that much of the ministerial input for these events will be primarily provided by French-based Christians, but this will be supplemented by the ministry of Christians from outside of France, particularly the UK.

The Centre will become involved in supporting the ministries of local churches as they seek to reach out with the Gospel to the people of Normandy, by providing resources such as personnel or support materials, being available for the Churches to use as they consider appropriate, and working with the local churches in order to identify ways in which communities can be effectively reached with the Gospel.

The Centre will also try and promote the building of relationships between individual Christians and Churches in France and the UK, and the active involvement of UK Christians in the ministry of the churches in Normandy through prayer and practical support.
