Summer 2008: Worship Services in English

Visiting Normandy this summer?

If you are visiting Normandy during the summer of 2008, as during previous summers there will be a Worship Service in English on Sunday mornings. These will be held from Sunday, July 13th through to Sunday, August 31st inclusive, starting at 9.00 am. The services will be held in l'Eglise Evangélique d'Houlgate (Houlgate Evangelical Church) which is in the département of Calvados(14). The church is also known as le Temple Protestant.

These services will include both old and new Christian hymns and songs, prayer, readings from the Bible, and a sermon. Everyone is welcome to come and share in this time of worshipping God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit, of having fellowship with one another, and of hearing God's Word read and preached.

Houlgate

Houlgate is situated on the coast of Normandy overlooking the Seine estuary - in fact the church is right on the edge of the beach. It is to the south of Deauville, Honfleur and Le Havre, to the north-east of Caen, and to the east of the Normandy D-Day landing beaches. The services will start at 9.00 am and finish about 10.00 am

L'Eglise Evangélique d'Houlgate (Houlgate Evangelical Church) hold their French-language worship service at 10.30 am which lasts until approximately 12 noon.
